Position Overview
We are currently seeking highly experienced International Close Protection Coordinators (ICPCs) to lead protective security teams and oversee complex convoy operations in Libya. The role is rotational and requires continuous operational readiness. Selected candidates will be responsible for coordinating high-profile movements, ensuring operational safety, and maintaining professional communication across multiple agencies and international partners.
This position involves working in a high-risk, multinational environment. It demands advanced planning, decisive leadership, and a proven ability to manage crisis scenarios in the field.
Key Eligibility Requirement – Marine Certification
Per project compliance requirements, candidates must hold a valid deep-sea boat license with demonstrated experience operating Zodiac-style RIBs (Rigid Inflatable Boats). This includes:
- Minimum 5 years of marine operations experience
- Valid certification for small fast boats used in tactical deployment scenarios
- Preference will be given to candidates with RYA Yachtmaster, MilPro Zodiac SRA-750, or equivalent operational credentials.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate close protection teams during personnel movement and convoy operations
- Maintain operational control across diverse and dynamic threat environments
- Oversee execution of route planning, security briefings, and risk assessments
- Liaise with client representatives and international agency security personnel
- Implement contingency planning and respond to critical incidents
- Ensure adherence to company standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Provide regular operational reports and assessments to management
- Maintain high standards of discipline, discretion, and client confidentiality
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 8 years of experience in military, law enforcement, or international security operations
- Previous work experience in conflict zones or high-risk locations
- Strong leadership skills with a background in team coordination under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English (French is an asset)
- Demonstrated understanding of convoy movement protocol and protective services
- Valid international driving license; marine navigation license preferred
- Must hold valid Schengen visa or passport with unrestricted access
- Physically and mentally fit for field deployment
- Capable of working rotational shifts and adapting to operational demands
