My career began in the Military, completing numerous overseas peacekeeping deployments which helped to build my foundation in discipline, tactical operations, and resilience under pressure. Since moving into private security in 2008, I advanced from ground level to senior management, operating across Europe, the U.S., the Middle East, and Africa, often in hostile, high-threat environments. I have led teams of 100+ personnel and specialised in Corporate Security Management, Executive/Armed Close Protection, Hostile Environment Operations, High-Value Asset Protection, Private Investigations, and Risk/Threat Assessment. My work has supported high-profile clients including Google, Apple, Workday, and the European Union. Hany Gaja has played a key role in the expansion of Septimius Security’s international operations. He established and managed the company’s Istanbul office, leading its logistics operations, before launching the Dubai branch, which today serves as the headquarters for the GCC region.
With extensive experience across high-risk environments, diplomatic protection, and complex security operations, Hany has successfully led multiple missions across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. His leadership combines strong operational expertise with a strategic approach, ensuring the highest standards of service across all projects.

Darran is a highly experienced security professional with over 30 years of expertise across military, oil & gas, and international security operations. A former British Army soldier with operational tours in Afghanistan and Kosovo, managed high-risk projects across Iraq and Kurdistan, including serving as Project Manager for multiple oil rig and gas power station security operations. Currently hold extensive certifications in close protection, risk management, and maritime security, have a proven track record of leading, training, and motivating multinational teams. His core expertise includes operational management, risk analysis, close protection, and in-country security assessments.

Faysal Bakhnug leads Septimius Security’s operations in Libya, bringing over a decade of experience in managing complex security projects in high-risk environments. With deep knowledge of the local landscape and strong relationships across government and private sectors, he ensures the delivery of reliable and responsive security solutions. Faysal oversees all field operations, client relations, and compliance with international standards. His leadership has been instrumental in expanding our presence and maintaining trust with embassies, international organizations, and corporate clients operating in Libya.
